GREEN BAY, Wisc. – After grabbing a 17-point lead after one quarter, Green Bay played from ahead the rest of the way Sunday in Round 2 of the Preseason WNIT in moving past Little Rock.
The Phoenix (2-0) will play either Notre Dame or Fordham in the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 17; the Fighting Irish host the Rams on Nov. 14.
Green Bay played superior defense against Little Rock (1-1), which had 18 turnovers and shot just 22 percent from the field. The Phoenix owned a 32-10 lead at halftime and was able to give substantial playing time to their bench, with nine players getting more than 10 minutes of action.
Jessica Lindstrom, who had 12 points in Green Bay’s 15-point win against Elon in Round 1, closed with 15 points and nine rebounds Sunday. Mehryn Kraker added 10 points and four assists.
Little Rock was paced by Monique Townson, who closed with 12 points.
