SEATTLE, Wash. – Washington set a record for most 3-pointers made in the Preseason WNIT, taking charge early against Colorado State on Monday and rolling to the semifinals. The Huskies (2-0), who made 16 3-pointers, will host Missouri in a semifinal set for Thursday, with tipoff at 8 p.m. ET.
Kelsey Plum had 26 points and eight assists for Washington, ranked 17th in the nation. Chantel Osahor closed with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and senior center Katie Collier hit her first career 3-pointer on the way to 15 points and eight rebounds. The Huskies outrebounded CSU, 45-21, and shot 52 percent from the field.
Colorado State was paced by senior Ellen Nystrom, who finished with 21 points and seven rebounds. Sofie Tryggedsson added 14 points, and Elin Gustavsson had 11 points and five rebounds. The Rams will play in the consolation round at Nebraska on Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. ET.
