Colorado took its first lead of the game – 69-68 – with less than five minutes to go in the WNIT matchup, on the heels of an 11-0 run. TCU (23-12) hit a game-tying shot with less than a second left in regulation to force the overtime period, but the Buffs (19-14) took control from the start of OT to win their third straight WNIT home game. Colorado will host Marquette (19-14) in the semifinal round at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday, April 2. Marquette already has one road win, as it held off host Kentucky (17-16) for a 69-64 victory on Sunday. This is the second time in three years that Marquette has advanced to the WNIT semifinals. In 2006, the Golden Eagles ran all the way to the WNIT championship before taking the runner-up spot to Kansas State. On the other side of the bracket Sunday, Michigan State also rallied in overtime for a 45-40 victory against Michigan. The Spartans (22-13), trailing for much of the game, defeated Michigan (19-14) to advance to the semifinal round of the WNIT. They will host NC State at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday in the next round. NC State held on to edge St. John's 63-61 in its quarterfinal game. NC State (21-12) moves on to Michigan State, while St. John's ended its season at 18-15.
