The game begins at 4 p.m. ET Saturday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich. It will be televised live nationally on CBS College Sports Network (formerly CSTV). Thad Anderson will call the play-by-play, with Tracy Warren providing color analysis. The game will be the fifth straight WNIT home game for Michigan State. The Spartans (23-13) have defeated Bowling Green, Kansas, Michigan, and NC State on their road to the WNIT final. Head coach Suzy Merchant, in her first season at Michigan State, has the Spartans 8-0 in their last eight games at home. And they have proven they can win close games: Michigan State has played 11 games that have been decided by five or fewer points, and has won 10 of those games. Marquette (20-14) has wins over Creighton and Illinois at home in the WNIT, as well as over Kentucky and Colorado on the road. This is the third straight 20-win season for coach Terri Mitchell and the Golden Eagles, who are in the Postseason WNIT championship for the second time in three years. In 2006, they played at Kansas State before finishing runner-up to the Wildcats.
