32 Teams Chosen for 2002 Postseason WNIT
 
March 10, 2002 - The Women’s National Invitation Tournament will kick off the 2002 postseason action for women’s basketball with a 32-team field, highlighted by four teams each from the Big 10 and Pacific 10 conferences.

Missouri, Michigan State, Illinois, Michigan, Washington, Southern California, Oregon and Oregon State were among the teams chosen Sunday, March 10. First-round games will be played Wednesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 14.

All tournament games are played at participating schools. Here are the tournament pairings, teams and their records. Game times will be announced Monday, March 11, by host schools.
