CBS College Sports to broadcast WNIT title game

Kansas and South Florida, who have outlasted everyone else in the Postseason Women''s National Invitation Tournament, will vie for the WNIT title beginning at 2 p.m. ET Saturday in Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan.

The game will be televised live on CBS College Sports.

Kansas (22-13) hopes to be playing in front of a record-breaking crowd. The semifinal attendance of 8,360 fans was the fifth-largest crowd to attend a KU women''s basketball game, and school officials believe that the WNIT Championship could put the school''s current attendance record of 13,352 in jeopardy.

Fans will get to watch two up-tempo teams that have outlasted 46 others in this tournament. Both teams have won games on the road: Kansas defeated New Mexico in the quarterfinals, and South Florida (23-12) beat St. Bonaventure and Boston College before landing in Lawrence.

It''s the first WNIT championship appearance for either team. Kansas has won six straight games at home, while South Florida has won eight of its last nine games.
