Fort Collins, Colo. -- CBS Sports Network will televise the championship game of the Postseason Women’s National Invitation Tournament live and in HD at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 4, with Thad Anderson (play-by-play) and Ceal Barry (analyst) calling the contest.
“This is the seventh year we are televising our Postseason WNIT Championship game live on CBS Sports Network,” said WNIT Director Renee Carlson. “We are honored to be able to showcase women’s basketball at the national level and capture the tremendous crowd and atmosphere that the WNIT championship game creates.”

Rutgers captured last year’s WNIT title with a last-second layup to defeat UTEP 56-54 in front of a sold-out crowd of 12,222 at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.
The WNIT committee will release the 64-team field late the evening of Monday, March 16, following the NCAA Tournament field announcement. The WNIT field will consist of 32 teams that receive automatic berths, and 32 teams that are awarded at-large berths.
