In 2012, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls won the Postseason WNIT championship by defeating James Madison 75-68 in front of a season-high 6,157 fans in Stillwater, Okla. The Cowgirls overcame a difficult season after losing both their head coach Kurt Budke and assistant coach Miranda Serna in a tragic plane crash. In what was one of the most emotional championship games in WNIT history, OSU honored both coaches with the win.
