FAIRFAX, VA – George Mason’s record breaking season continues following an 82-75 win over Stephen F. Austin in Round One of the Postseason WNIT.
Nic Cardano-Hillary led the Patriots with a game-high 28 points and dished out six assists. Natalie Butler finished with a double-double recording 22 rebounds and 20 points. Tayler Dodson added 14 points and six points for George Mason who faces Virginia Tech in Round Two.
Chanell Hayes paced Stephen F. Austin with 24 points hitting six shots from behind the arc. Imani Johnson finished with 14 points for the Ladyjacks.
The Patriots notched their first postseason victory in program history and have now won a record 24 games on the season. George Mason has won 11 straight home games against non-conference opponents. Their last non-conference home loss came in 2016 against Stephen F. Austin.
George Mason will face at Virginia Tech in Round Two on Sunday, March 18 with tip slated for 2 p.m. ET.
