INDIANA 74, MILWAUKEE 54
BLOOMINGTON, IN – Indiana shrugged off Milwaukee’s early success and held the Panthers to nine points in the second quarter, allowing the Hoosiers to settle in and roll through Round 2 of the 2018 Postseason WNIT.
Indiana (19-14) also left a lot of points go by the wayside early, hitting just 12 of their 22 free-throw attempts in the first half. But the Hoosiers relied on other strengths, shooting 50 percent from the field and forcing 24 turnovers – they will host Purdue in Round 3, in a game set for 7 p.m. ET on March 22.
Tyra Buss had 17 points to lead Indiana, with freshman Jaelynn Penn adding 16 points and seven rebounds.
Milwaukee (21-12) got 19 points from Bailey Farley.
