ALBUQUERQUE, NM –After falling behind by as many as 14 points on the road, TCU scored 29 points in the third quarter and pulled away late, slipping by New Mexico and into the quarterfinals of the 2018 Postseason WNIT.
Jayde Woods’ layup put the Frogs up, 71-67, with 3:39 left in the fourth quarter, and her three-point play at the 2:02 mark built the lead to 76-70. TCU (22-12) will play South Dakota in the quarterfinals.
Jordan Moore had 15 points and nine rebounds for TCU; Woods had 14 points and four assists, Amy Okonkwo closed with 13 points and nine rebounds, and Kianna Ray had 12 points and six rebounds.
For New Mexico (25-11), Tesha Buck had 24 points, Cherise Beynon added 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Jaisa Nunn closed with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
