Fort Collins, Colo. -- The Women’s National Invitation Tournament will release its full 64-team field for the Postseason WNIT late Monday night, March 16, via the website (www.womensnit.com). The field will include 32 teams that earn an automatic berth and 32 teams that are chosen at-large. The bracket will be released between 11 p.m. and midnight ET, several hours after the NCAA Tournament announcement.
The Postseason WNIT will open with first-round games Wednesday through Friday, March 18-20. The event culminates Saturday, April 4 with the championship game, which will be televised live on CBS Sports Network beginning at 3 p.m. ET. All games are hosted by participating schools.
From now through selection night, the WNIT will update the website with teams that have secured their conference’s automatic berth in the Postseason WNIT. The teams will be posted under the tab “Current Field.”
